About the Company
ClearCut Costume Company is a business-to-business rental and supplies service for the Pacific Northwest motion picture, television and advertising industries. We also supply student film and theater projects in the greater Portland area.
What Kind of Items Do You Carry?
ClearCut Costume’s collection of 5,000 pieces of modern and vintage clothing also includes uniforms, comfort wear, shoes, hats, jewelry, accessories and a selection of light equipment. We also have a collection of vintage sewing patterns for rent.
A selection of research books and materials are available for use in-house at no charge.
Right now, we supply expendables for Costume and Camera departments. We will continue to add items for the Hair, Makeup, Sound and Prop departments as well.
How Do I Rent or Buy From You?
Rentals: We accept company purchase orders or advance payment with a credit card. See our rental terms and open an account.
Production companies may rent by the week or by length of production, student productions by the week or academic term.
Rentals for commercials, photo shoots, music videos, and other short projects are available only by the week.
NOTE: “Approvals” are limited to film, television and theatrical companies. Commercials, photo shoots, music videos and other short projects may not be eligible, and can rent by the week.
Expendables: Our expendables store is currently pick-up only. Orders must be paid for at the time of pick-up. The "Shopping List" feature can be used to print out your order for approvals from department heads and production.
When Can I Visit Your Shop?
Hours and availability are subject to change due to costume house personnel production schedules. Availability changes will be noted on the home page.
Motion picture expendables: Check our web catalog, These items are available now for pickup by appointment at the shop.
For costume rentals: We are open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, by appointment only. Call or email now for an appointment.
Online sales: We don’t offer online sales at this time, however, we accept orders and payment over the phone for pickup at the shop.

Who Owns the Company?
Owner Sierra Bay Robinson is a designer, set costumer and skilled fabricator of costumes and props. She is a member of IATSE and SAG-AFTRA. Since 2013 she has worked on set in the Oregon film, television and advertising industries. Before that, she spent 12 years working professionally in Los Angeles as a costumer, stylist and costume designer (and occasional cabaret chorine), and at Eastern Costume Company in North Hollywood and its vintage Studio costumes business. She earned a B.A. in Theatre/Costume Design from Grinnell College.
